Working with Alcohol Misuse
This one-day training is designed for persons working or volunteering in the social care and allied field, who come in contact with alcohol misuse and seek a deeper understanding of the subject and some strategies for dealing with the attendant problems.
Content includes:-
~ Alcohol the drug and how it works.
~ Effects of alcohol on the body and brain.
~ Acute and chronic harm caused by alcohol.
~ Alcohol, the individual / family / community.
~ Interventions and services.
~ Questions and answers.

Keyworking and Care Planning
Keyworking and Care Planning is a two-day programme for workers who wish to develop and enhance their skills in the keyworking role.  It will be of particular interest to anyone working or volunteering in a care setting.

Performance and Image Enhancing Drugs (PIED)
This half-day (10am-1pm) of training is for those who would like to gain an understanding of the psychological and pharmacological implications, along with the potential harm associated with image enhancing drug use.
Content includes:-
~ Overview of performance and image enhancing drugs
~ Reasons for usage
~ How steroids work
~ Other common PIED
~ Physiological and psychological issues
~ Harm associated with toxicity and administration of PIED

Community Reinforcement Approach
This two-day (10am-5pm) training is for those who would like to gain a better understanding of the Community Reinforcement Approach. It will be of interest to anyone already working / volunteering in a care setting.
The training will enable participants to:-
~ Develop an appreciation of the theoretical framework and principles underlying CRA.
~ Gain an understanding of the strategies to develop drug and alcohol interventions.
~ Assess the client’s drug and alcohol use.
~ Develop effective treatment planning interventions.
~ Enhance their CRA skill set.

Introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
