‘BYAP 30 Years’ was an exhibition marking the 30th anniversary of Ballymun Youth Action Project.
The exhibition was curated by acclaimed artists Guggi and Ballymun local John Duffy. It featured the work of leading artists from Ballymun and surrounding areas, and reflected developments in Ballymun over the past 30 years.
‘BYAP 30 Years’ was comprised of paintings, installations, photographs and sculptures by Rita Cahill, Bob Dixon, Stuart Dowie, Mick Geraghty, Fiona Ginnell, Paddy Kavanagh, Cecilia Moore, Maria Place, Edith Poole, Frank Scalzo, Dean Scurry, the late Tom Shannon, Ray Sherlock, Stano and Long Weng (for further information on these artists, click here). Work produced by BYAP clients over the past 30 years was also on display.
A major public art project specially commissioned to mark the 30th anniversary of BYAP was also on show as part of the exhibition. This was produced by a group of BYAP clients working with John Duffy and axis Ballymun.
